Poria's indications, subject to differentiation as Stagnation of Dampness Syndrome, Deficiency of Spleen Qi or Heart and Spleen Deficiency, and in appropriate combinations, are:
Diarrhoea, difficult urination, oedema, loss of appetite, epigastric distension, palpitations, headache, insomnia, forgetfulness

Combinations:
Poria-MRL may be combined with Polyporus-MRL in the treatment of diarrhoea, oedema, oliguria and painful urinary incontinence subject to Syndrome differentiation as Accumulation of Dampness, with or without Spleen Qi Deficiency.

Poria-MRL may be combined with Polyporus-MRL may be combined with Cordyceps-MRL in the treatment of oedema in the presence of Deficiency of Kidney Yang.

Poria-MRL may be combined with Polyporus-MRL may be combined with Coriolus-MRL in the treatment of oedema in the presence of Accumulation of Dampness from Deficiency of Spleen Qi.

Poria-MRL may be combined with Reishi-MRL in the presence of Heart and Spleen Deficiency and Disharmony.

Manufacturing Process
Poria-MRL is not an extract but instead contains both the mycelium and the primordia (young fruiting bodies) of Polyporus umbellatus grown aseptically into a biomass. The biomass is then manufactured into tablets, each containing 500mg.

Cultivation Process of Poria-MRL
MRL Ltd.´s Poria cocos powder contains both mycelium and primordia (young fruit body) cultivated into a biomass that is grown on a sterilised (autoclaved) substrate.
This cultivation process ensures the powder is free from contamination by other fungi and that pesticides and heavy metals are absent.

The cultivation system is proprietary, allowing for standardised production of Poria cocos. The powder biomass is then sealed in plastic containers.

The fungal biomass Poria cocos that comprises Poria-MRL is certified 100% Organic in the United States by Quality Assurance International (Certificate No. 103491-A).
